The design concept for the hotel takes inspiration from an artist’s oeuvre – the entirety of an artist’s life’s work – which is beautifully reflected throughout the crafted spaces.

Upon entering the lobby, guests are welcomed by towering walls adorned with sweeping swathes and vibrant strokes, setting the tone for the artistic journey within. As guests traverse the halls and venture into other spaces, the walls and open volumes seemingly metamorphose into blank canvases, awaiting the masterful hand of an artist to craft visual compositions that delight and enthral.

The design invites guests to explore and experience contrasts and balance, movement and spatial tension, the constant and the transient, all in a single, captivating glance. Like a living art gallery, the hotel offers an immersive experience that captivates the senses and sparks the imagination, blurring the line between hospitality and fine art.

Departure

Hyatt Regency Tongzhou Beijing draws its soul from
Tongzhou itself — a district shaped by the Grand Canal’s legacy and alive with artistic energy. Located in the eastern outskirts of Beijing, Songzhuang is China’s largest
and most famous artist community, where creativity continues to thrive

Exploration

In the Lobby, Geometry in the Air transforms arrival into a sculptural experience, where walls stand white and bold, edges sharp, space unburdened, inviting the mind
to settle. The Foundry, the lobby lounge, celebrates human connection — a “return to the basics,” warm and honest — echoing Judd’s emphasis on simple, repeated forms and how they mediate space without ornament.
